Local Mobile Refueling Driver

Sentinel Transportation is hiring safety-focused Mobile Fueler for our Lake Charles, LA terminal. This day shift, home-daily role offers a long-term career path with excellent pay and unmatched benefits.

Primary Responsibilities

• Load and unload products within the refinery safely and efficiently.
• Perform all driving duties in compliance with DOT regulations and Sentinel policies and procedures.
• Complete all required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Evaluate and inspect vehicle and equipment condition, documenting findings and reporting issues to the supervisor.
• Complete all required DOT and Sentinel documentation accurately and on time.
• Safely operate a commercial vehicle for up to 11 hours between required 10-hour rest periods, in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Work with the supervisor to maximize vehicle and equipment utilization.
• Monitor vehicle safety and ensure all vehicle-related equipment is operating effectively.
• Attend and actively participate in required safety meetings and training.
• Respond proactively to customer needs while maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Follow all customer site instructions, safety requirements, and operational procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a transport driver; fuel hauling experience is preferred.
• Mobile fueling experience is a plus.
• Valid Class A CDL
• Haz-Mat & Tanker endorsement required
• TWIC card required
• Air Brake endorsement/certification, as needed.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Ability to successfully complete a DOT physical, DOT drug screening, and criminal background check.
